From June 27, 2016 to June 30, 2016, AIMSN cooperated with Red Cross of Pudong New Area to carry out science-popularization training lectures for AED first aid in secondary schools of Pudong New Area.Nearly 100 teachers learned the relevant first-aid knowledge.

On the spot, pre-hospital first-aid trainers introduced the right procedures of first aid, as well as the use of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and AED defibrillator.Subsequently, the volunteers presented with the manikin and instructed the teachers to operate on-site.

Mr. Ye, a teacher in secondary school, said after the study: in the past, we have only learned chest compression and ventilation, but now we could connect them with AED. For example, after calling120, there will be a time buffer. After learning this new skills, our first aid can achieve better results.

In the training activities, teachers were open-minded and studious with training teachers providing guide patiently. In the training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the teachers listened carefully and practiced repeatedly. After the repeated guidance and correction of the training teachers, everyone could master operation process and recovery essentials of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. This training activity enhanced the emergency response capacity of all teachers, which can play the role of "first rescuer" before the arrival of professional ambulance personnel to set up a security line for campus safety.

According to reports, nearly 54 million people each year encountered sudden death due to heart disease, most of who died outside the hospital. Rescue success rate is less than 1%, so on-site first-aid skills in the golden time still need wide popularity.

AIMSN training instructor for pre-hospital first aid said: CPR rescue time is only 4 minutes, because more than 4 minutes' cardiac arrest will cause irreversible damage in brain cells. Hence, learning AED and cardiopulmonary resuscitation is to help us saving lives in the shortest time.

With the development of society, the campus accidents occur frequently. In the face of emergencies, the teachers also play a role of "doctor" to perform initial judgment and disposal of injury immediately for children. Accordingly, mastering the emergency ambulance knowledge and skills is essential and urgent. Therefore, to carry out training of emergency rescue skills for teachers is very necessary.
